11/047:46amBrian SimmonsOL Doubtful KneeStarting guard Simmons left Oklahoma's week six match-up with a knee injury and did not return.  He did not play the past three weeks and though he was hopeful to return in week ten, that probably wont be the case.  Consider him doubtful to go on Nov. 7 against Nebraska.  When healthy, Simmons is one of the Sooners top lineman.  He is being replaced by the tandem of sophomore Stephen Good and freshman Tyler Evans.
11/019:33amTavaris JeffriesOG Questionable SuspensionJeffries did not travel with Oklahoma in week eight nor play in week nine as he is being disciplined for an undisclosed violation of team rules.  It is not known if the starting guard will be available to play on Nov. 7 against Nebraska.

09/2710:49amMike BalogunLB Out For Year EligibilityBalogun is out for the season after losing his eligibility battle with the NCAA.  His college football career is over.  Balogun was the likely starter at MLB for the Sooners after Tom Wort went down for the season and the Oklahoma defense loses a lot of veteran leadership without Balogun.

10/1610:41amRyan BroylesWR Probable ShoulderBroyles suffered a hairline fracture in his shoulder during the week five loss at Miami but has been upgraded to probable for the Texas game, just two weeks after suffering the injury. The talented sophomore returned to practice this week.  Broyles was Oklahoma's leading receiver with 23 grabs for 346 yards and 7 TDs at the time of his injury.  His return would be a major boost to the receiving corps and offense as a whole, especially with Sam Bradford back at QB.

09/129:18pmMike BalogunLB Out EligibilityBalogun is out indefinitely.  The senior is not injured and can return as soon as allowed, however Oklahoma is unsure when that might be.  Consider the linebacker questionable for Saturday Sept. 12 against Idaho State.  Balogun had hoped to be eligible for all games this year, but the process of proving that he did not play semi-pro football after his 21st birthday is dragging on longer than expected.  HC Bob Stoops is not involved in the proceedings and calmly stated recently that "there's a whole bunch of guys that could play in there."  In six starts last year, Ryan Reynolds had 44 tackles before going down with a season-ending injury. He is likely the starter at MLB, though after Tom Wort recently went down for the season, Balogun's eligibility became more of an issue for the Sooners, suddenly lacking veteran leadership at the linebacker position.
